This device will be used to quickly wind the rubber strand motor of free flight model airplanes. Usually 100’s of revolutions are needed to prepare a plane for each flight. Stretching out the rubber while winding is also done to encourage the more turns. This device is expected to turn the rubber 9 times for every 1 manual crank of the handle. The construction is generally with 1/4” plywood, dowels, and aspen wood.
